Description: The Department of Criminal Justice in the College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking applications for multiple 9-month, non-tenure-earning, Instructor and/or Lecturer positions. Key responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Criminal Justice; contributing to departmental initiatives and service activities; engage in advising, mentoring, and community outreach to support and build department programs; serve the department, college, university, discipline, and broader community. The teaching load is four courses per semester with opportunities for summer teaching and is located at the UCF Main Campus in Orlando, Florida.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree (for an Instructor) or Ph.D. (for a Lecturer) in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. A Juris Doctor (J.D.) alone is not an appropriate degree for this position. The selected candidate must demonstrate a record of effective teaching in face-to-face and/or web-based formats.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with the following qualifications will receive preference; however, we encourage anyone who meets the minimum qualifications to apply.

- The ability to teach multiple courses within the graduate and/or undergraduate criminal justice core curriculum.
- Experience teaching upper-division undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice.
- Experience teaching graduate courses in Criminal Justice.
- Experience teaching large classes.
- Experience utilizing various teaching modalities and technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of students.
- Strong communication and presentation skills that demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning.
